With the many different Children’s’ programs being administrated by the Fr. Ray Foundation, Sponsorship is the most stable means of insuring that a child will receive a good education, a clean and safe home, and enough good food, medical care, and clothing to sustain them. This allows them to put all their energy into healthy growth for the younger ones and scholastic or vocational programs for the older ones.

If you would like to help brighten the day of one of our children or students, please download the appropriate form from the list below and then mail it to us.

Family History and General Information

Bass brought to our School by his family. His parents have two children. His father sells things in the market while his mother is unemployed. Bass was born premature and has been blind since birth. He has low vision. His family considers the lack of knowledge about blindness within the family can only mean that the child will not reach his full potential. They then decided to place Bass into our care because they believe that the specialized teaching staff at the School for the Blind will be beneficial for his growth and development. At the school, we teach our students subjects following the national curriculum, from kindergarten up to grade 9. After grade 9, the students will then decide what they want to do in the future. They may want to go on to a vocational school or leave to get a job. Several students have joined other schools to finish their education up to grade 12, while several others continued to have a bachelor’s degree. Having been accepted, Bass was promptly assigned to the Kindergarten Level for evaluation and for possible training which would enable her to attend to his daily personal routine needs independently. He enjoys playing with many toys and activities in his classroom. He loves to be taken the photographs. Continued observation and evaluation, especially in his general behaviour and conduct, will be maintained to ensure a smooth transition. (WS)
